Grrreat Opportunity!

by ranpen on April 27, 2010

I am a young individual with a professional job. However, I need to pickup a second job to make some extra money. I cannot get a part-time job as my hours are all over the place. Any suggestions with regards to where/how I can make more money? (without investing/spending money!) Something I can do online at home or on my blackberry??
Thanks.

Greetings,
I noticed that you seem to be in desperate need of a second job.  I think I might just be able to help you out.  You can work from home, as long as you have a computer.  Is this something you might be interested in?

Thanks,
RP

Hey Randy,

Thanks for contacting. Yes I have a computer.  Is it possible to get details regarding this opportunity.

Thank you.

Greetings!
I would be happy to give you the details regarding this incredible opportunity.  I’ll need you to list as many animals as you possibly can (use the encyclopedia, if necessary).  Once you’ve done this,  I’ll need you to use Microsoft Paint to illustrate each of the animals.  Please be as accurate as possible.  Include all the noticeable characteristics of each creature, and depict them as they would appear in nature.  For example, if you were illustrating a Great White Shark, you’d want to make sure to include his sharp, sharp teeth, his dorsal fin, and tail.  And, you wouldn’t find a Great White Shark say…playing Checkers with a moose in the Australian Outback.  So, you’d want to make sure that the Great White Shark is swimming in the ocean amongst large schools of fish and plankton.  To give you some direction,  I’ve attached a picture of a bear standing in the forest.
When can you start?

Thanks,
RP

No way.  How much do I get paid? Are you serious? Why do you need this?

Hello there,
I will try to answer your questions in the order that you asked them.
1)Yes way.  (Was “No way” supposed to be a question?  I wasn’t sure, considering both the absence of a question mark and the general pattern of your email).
2)You will get paid based on the quantity and quality of your work.  For example, if you are able to produce 5 illustrations on MS Paint, you could make at least $10.  However, if I find that the illustrations are inaccurate,  then you might only make $1.75.
3)I am serious, indeed.
4)I need this to complete my portfolio.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
RP

Howdy,
I understand.  I’m sure that you are incredibly busy looking for a second job.  Some people just don’t have what it takes to fulfill my requirements.  I’m confident that I will find somebody to seize this opportunity.
Best of luck!

Thanks,
RP

Hi there,
Are you still looking to get rid of this piano?  This looks just like the one my grandmother had.  She gave me a lesson every Saturday afternoon, until she died suddenly, due to symptoms from Acrofacial dysostosis – ambiguous genitalia.  It’s an extremely rare condition that can cause limb defects, abnormal development of facial bones, and ambiguous genitalia.  She left the piano to my Aunt, who currently lives in Overland Park.  I really loved that piano.  And, my Grandma.  Please let me know if you might consider selling the piano to me.

Thanks,
RP

Yes, it is still available. My understanding from the folks i bought it from they were original owners. From my research i believe it more likely was one she learned on and later inherited. There is little to no were on the felts. Seems to sound good i am told has nice key action. i don’t play. my oldest does and the wife. Feel free to call me anytime ———– Thanks

Hi Gerry!
Thanks for responding so quickly. I really appreciate it.  It’s good to hear that this piano has nice key action.  I’d hate to get the piano back to my house, only to realize that the key action is less than superb.  What kind of music does your wife like to play?  I took to Classical at a young age, but now I mainly cover Bruce Hornsby songs.  Specifically, from his catalog before 1998, the year he formed the Noise Makers.  $800 is a fairly sizable amount of money.  Any chance you’d be willing to make a part-trade?  I think I have a picture of my grandmother, if you’d like to see it.  Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks,
RP

How much do you think you can afford? What are you talking in trade? Though to be honest really would Rather try and keep this a cash deal. I will keep an open mind at this point. Let me know. Thanks,

Gerry,
I have lots of miscellaneous items I’m looking to get rid of, including: a complete set of flat-head screwdrivers, a digital alarm clock that can replicate the sound of a stiff ocean breeze,  6 matching coffee mugs, a high-speed toaster oven, a tee-shirt that says “Life’s a Beach”, and a piano.  Does any of this interest you?
Also, I wasn’t sure if you wanted to see a picture of my grandmother.  I couldn’t find one on my computer, so I attached a caricature drawing I made of her on MS Paint.  She’s vacuuming in the drawing.
Talk to you soon.

Thanks,
RP

Not interested in any of the items you listed. So, if you are serious about the piano then lets cut to the chase. How reasonable an offer are you open to paying?

Gerry,
Since you are not interested in any of the items I listed, I am no longer interested in the piano.  I hope that we can remain friends.

Thanks,
RP
